Misty Seyfang
2nd Grade Teacher
Misty Seyfang is our 2nd grade teacher. Misty was born and raised in Guernsey, WY. She attended Easter Wyoming College and
UW to earn a B.A. in elementary education. She earned a minor in history with an area of concentration in creative
arts. She is currently working towards a M.A. in curriculum and instruction with a literacy endorsement. Misty
worked as a paraprofessional teaching 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders in a resource room at Indian Paintbrush Elementary.
She was head teacher at a Laramie preschool and teacher/office aide at UW Prep School. During her summers, Misty
has worked as a newspaper reporter, an assistant director and camp counselor, a museum educator, a groundskeeper,
and a computer software tester.
Misty: "I am excited to say that this will be my sixth year teaching at St. Laurence. I love going to school everyday
and working with a team and family of staff and parents. Most of all, I love the great faith-filled students at
St. Laurence. My hobbies and interests include children's literature, playing guitar, singing, Wyoming/U.S. history, camping,
fishing, fly tying, hiking, coin collecting, gardening, and painting."
