Jennifer Lyford
Music Teacher
Jennifer Lyford is our Music teacher. Jennifer was born and raised in Holland, MI where she started violin at
the age of 7 and French horn at age 10. She graduated from Holland Christian High School and received her B.A.
in music education from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. After marrying her college sweetheart, Mark, and
moving to his home state of Wyoming, Jennifer pursued a Masters of Music in violin performance at the UW.
From 1995 to 2002 she taught general music, band, orchestra, and choir at St. Laurence, and then spent a few years
at home with her children, Derk and Rebecca. Jennifer also teaches violin and viola with the String Academy of
Wyoming and plays in the Cheyenne Symphony. In her spare time, she enjoys running with her dogs, playing soccer,
hiking, biking, and camping with her family.
Jennifer: "I look forward to retuning to St. Laurence School because the school community has been like a family
to us since we've been in Laramie."
