Beth Lord
Administrative Assistant
Beth Lord is our Administrative Assistant. Beth grew up in Sheridan, WY. She graduated from UW in 1971 with a B.A. degree in
elementary education. She has taught 1st grade at Ellsworth Air Force Base, SD, 3rd grade at Pius X Catholic School
in Santa Fe Springs, CA, and 6th grade at St. Laurence School. Beth has been a substitute teacher at St. Laurence and
was president of the first St. Laurence School Board. Beth is presently a Eucharistic Minister and member of the 5:30
Saturday night choir at St. Laurence Parish. This is Beth's ninth year at St. Laurence as administrative assistant. She
has worked with four principals, and now, a head teacher. Beth has been married to Joe Lord for 35 years. Their son,
Joseph, attended Kindergarten through 6th grade at St. Laurence.
Beth: "I love working with the students, the teachers, and the parents at St. Laurence School. They are like family.
My favorite part of the week is attending the 8:30 school Mass each Thursday. I enjoy attending UW women's basketball
games and football games. I love to travel--my favorite places being Ireland and Denmark. I like to read
mysteries. I really love my new little Schnoodle, Tilley, and will really miss her when I go back to school. Maybe she can become a
"school dog!" No, not really."
