You may add an event in either the month view, the day view, or the week view. You may also add an event in either the calendar or list mode.
Month View - Place your mouse over the day of your event, making sure you don't mouse over an already existing event.
Clicking on the day will bring up the 'New Event' window.
Day View - Place your mouse on any interval and click to add an event.
Week View - Place your mouse on the week day column or any interval, and click to add an event.
