Copying an event is a feature that is useful if you want to add an event quickly and that event is like a previous event you have already added. For example, let's say you have an event that describes a theatre event that runs Thursday-Sunday. However, in addition to the 7:00 p.m. showing nightly, there is an 2:00 p.m. matinee on Sunday. To quickly handle this, add a recurring event that runs Thursday-Sunday (daily). Then copy an instance of the event and change the start time to 2:00pm on Sunday.
If you have the appropriate permissions, the Actions drop down menu appears on the Information Bubble for an event. Again, depending on your permissions for the event, several options will be available on the drop down menu. If it is a recurring event there are two options available: "Copy event" and "Copy instance." Otherwise there is the "Copy event" option.
After you select the "Copy" option, a New Event window will be filled in to allow for quick copying of the event.
