Yes. When your calendar is packed with events, the event bubble gets a tad irritating for some. You can choose to show the event bubble on mouseover or when you click on the event.

From the Control Panel go to Configure Preferences. Select 'Popup bubble on event when' under the Calendar Display Features section and select how you want the bubble to be activated.
